Mission Trips |
|
|
Mission trips
to Haiti started back in the 1980's when Claude Noel invited a handful
of people to visit his country. As a result, mission trips have been
traveling to Haiti ever since to work alongside the Haitian people
building churches, schools, medical clinics, duplex homes, school
desks, and miscellaneous projects. Short term mission trips average
between 10-14 days. The cost of each trip varies, depending on airfare.
The cost includes air travel, work project money, food, lodging, transportation,
exit tax, travel insurance and team expenses. We
Offer: exposure to life in a third
world country; a chance to meet your sponsored child; belonging to
and bonding with brothers and sisters in Christ; a way to contribute
your time, energy, and resources to a long range evangelistic, discipleship
and helping programs, working with Christian leaders who will walk
and talk you through this life changing experience; opportunity to
witness, testify, sing, and build relationships with the Haitian people. |

Mission
Trips - Dominican Republic
|
 |
| When president Bertrand Aristide
was ousted from power on February 29, 2004, Haiti slowly became an
unsafe place to travel with mission trips, so we began diverting our
teams to the Dominican Republic. Due to the great need in the Barahona
bateys (sugar cane fields) in the Dominican, we have partnered with
Haitian pastors in the improverished area to work alongside them to
minister and reach people for Jesus. |

Evangelical
Teams
|
 |
| These teams, which are mainly
made up from one church, travel to Bethany Project schools to minister
to children doing child evangelism. They would minister to 150 - 200
children daily, not only from the school but from nearby villages.
A typical day would include Bible stories, singing, skits, crafts,
games and would end with the children receiving lunch. Normally, the
teams will do a two day Bible study at each school for six days if
the schools are in the same area. If the team travels quite a distance
into the countryside, they would spend more time at that one school. |
